Wonderful Awful Dream

So its still there
That dream of mine
The one with you and me
Nothing will let it be

There are some things
I don’t want to see
I just want to be me

I go to bed
Lay my head
Dream of you instead

I then wake
To find it was just a dream
And have to tell myself
“I don’t love you”

I know it’s not true
But it’s what I have to do
It hurts so bad
Sometimes it makes me mad.

But its still there
That dream of mine
The one with you and me
And nothing will let it be
